One of the world's
largest computer printer parts distributor, is currently
seeking a buyer to help continue our robust growth. We are a
rapidly growing, $1.5 million company looking to add a
motivated individual to our purchasing team.
We are seeking candidates to work in our
purchasing department handling specific product line
responsibilities. This includes:
- Working with suppliers to
negotiate optimum quality, pricing, terms, lead time,
etc.
- Analyzing patterns and
trends to monitor and replenish our printer parts
inventory.
- Locating, evaluating,
recommending, developing, and monitoring new and existing
suppliers.
- Being in a team environment
and able to backup coworkers when necessary.
- Communicating with our
sales force and others in the organization.
Our candidate requirements
include:
- A four-year college degree
with courses in statistics and business law, with NAPM/APICS
certification preferred.
- Four years or more of
purchasing experience with specialized training courses
covering purchasing/material planning.
- Computer literacy with
working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet
Explorer, and Outlook.
- The ability to manage and
complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Strong negotiation
skills.
- Familiarity with the
printer parts market is preferred.
